Trades we supply
Bricklayers
Facework, blockwork and general bricklaying on housing, commercial and refurbishment projects, working solo or in gangs.
What a good one looks like
Look at the perps and the gauge on the last job. Speed without quality gets taken down and built again at your cost, and quality without speed misses the programme, so the trade is really about holding both. Ask whether they work to a spot board or a bench, because it tells you what kind of work they are used to.
It is also where the pay rate earns its keep. Good people have a choice of sites, so the rate you set decides who is willing to take the job. We show you that rate and add £25, which means you can raise it without our margin moving with it.
How our pricing worksCards and tickets
- CSCS blue skilled worker card
- NVQ Level 2 in bricklaying
- Own tools and appropriate PPE
What moves the rate
- Standard of facework specified
- Whether the operative works solo or in a gang
- Scaffold and access arrangements
- Weather exposure and season
We do not publish a rate table. Pay moves with the trade, the season and the location, so any figure printed here would be wrong within a month. Ring and we will tell you what the job is genuinely paying today.
