Trades we supply

Electricians

Installation, containment, second fix and testing on commercial, industrial and residential projects, plus the improvers and mates who work alongside them.

What a good one looks like

The card tells you most of it. An ECS gold card means the qualifications and the AM2 have been done and verified, which is not the same as somebody who has been wiring houses for twenty years without paper. Which one you need depends on who is signing off the installation.

It is also where the pay rate earns its keep. Good people have a choice of sites, so the rate you set decides who is willing to take the job. We show you that rate and add £25, which means you can raise it without our margin moving with it.

How our pricing works

Cards and tickets

  • ECS card issued through the JIB
  • City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3
  • AM2 assessment for gold card status
  • 18th Edition BS 7671
  • 2391 for inspection and testing

What moves the rate

  • Card grade and whether testing qualifications are held
  • Commercial, industrial or domestic setting
  • Whether the role involves sign off
  • Shift pattern, including night and weekend work

We do not publish a rate table. Pay moves with the trade, the season and the location, so any figure printed here would be wrong within a month. Ring and we will tell you what the job is genuinely paying today.
